Contessa stopped all that she was doing, arching a brow once again. It was obvious something with up, so she didn't bother asking him if he was all right. She just sat there, waiting for him to say, or even possibly do something. After a moment, she pushed back the hair that had fallen in his face. "What is it...?"

Salvador was completely stuck for words. "I... Well, I..." He swallowed again, hoping to buy himself time to think, and then the most splendid idea came to him - an added bonus being that it might distract her from the fact that he was embarrassed. He glanced up at her and placed a hand gently on her leg, only slightly higher than her knee, tracing a pattern lightly with his fingers as he spoke, looking up at her to meet her eyes every now and then. "Contessa, the next time we venture out of the castle... would you care to join me for dinner?" he asked softly.

She couldn't find any words that would come out so just nodded, accepting his offer on dinner. Though she wondered what the hell would they do during dinner, there were only some things he didn't know about her, and that wouldn't keep conversation bright and constant through the night. At last she was able to come out and say,"That'd be lovely." She leaned in as if to kiss him again, but this time lightly pecked his cheek. It was then that she got up, and took a seat where she wasn't sitting on him. Contessa crossed her legs, and looked over at Salvador.

"Yes, it would," he agreed softly, glancing over at her as she sat next to him instead and cherishing the kiss on the cheek.
Salvador had been caught by surprise; he had been wrong-footed by the way things had started to move so fast, but now he smirked - Contessa wasn't going to get away that easily. Going out for a meal - to him - was not just 'dinner'; on more than one occasion Salvador and his companion had barely finished a glass of wine before they had left the restaurant together in order to find somewhere a little more private.

Contessa smirked, and laid down so that her head was now in his lap, face looking up at him.

He looked down at her fondly and sub-consciously began to stroke her hair, brushing it gently away from her face and tenderly caressing her cheek. She really was beautiful.
Things a few moments ago had been moving quickly, a little too quickly for Salvador to adjust; but now he was becoming more comfortable with the idea, beginning to feel more relaxed.

She smiled up at him, relaxing as well, even though she already relaxed.

Oh, Salvador... not turning into an old romantic, are you? he thought dispairingly of himself - not that liking romance was necessarily a bad thing... The only thing was that he didn't want to go all soppy, declaring his undying love for Contessa whilst seranading her from below her balcony, holding a bouquet of roses that he wished to give her. But, then again, that might not have been such a bad idea... the roses, anyway.
He mentally shook his head, beginning to think that he had been reading too many romance novels for his own good - but the only thing was, the books he read contained very little romance, but they were full of passion-filled affairs and lust-filled escapades... though the book he was reading at the moment was a fascinating novel by Oscar Wilde about a young man's portrait and the story it entailed - it was called 'The Picture of Dorian Gray'.
One rose. That was what he would give her - a single, blood-red rose, or a black rose, if he could find one. Somehow that seemed to him far more romantic than a bouquet; the simplicity of it was somehow touching. He would save the idea for a later time.

She sighed, content, and turned her head so she was looking out over the gardens. They didn't give her much interesting, but she would admit that the gardens were nice. She allowed her hands to rest on her stomach.

Salvador gave a small, contented sigh, looking down at her.
"...Well, this is a delightful birthday," he said softly, with the slightest hint of a smirk, "and I thank you for that."

She looked back up at him, a grin forming again. "Love to make you happy baby." she said playfully, but in the same sense she ment it as well.

He smiled in response, and began to trace a pattern lightly on Contessa's stomach, on top of her shirt, with his fingers.

Salvador smirked, his fingertips continuing to trace. "You're a bad influence on me, Contessa... provoking my mind into thinking bad things..."

"I provoke you into thinking bad things?" she said, giving an innocent face. "Dear Dariusz, tell me how so."
