It was like any other day for Professor Ethan Wells. He always made his daily trip down to the book store every afternoon after all his lessons were done for the day. And right before he'd go back to the building he called home to grade and what not to get get ready for the following day.
This particular 40-year-old was searching through a massive pile of books that looked like it was about to heave over any second. The pile reached the ceiling of the book store, and it wasn't the only one of it's kind. There was many piles just like it floating about the store. Ethan was looking for more books he could use for his History of Magic class, but there was nothing new. No one had done anything interesting and exciting to be able to become part of magical history anyways. Life was dull, which made the class even more duller. This was so because you always taught about things that have already been recorded, why not teach something that is recent and new? Professor Wells was hoping that this particular day would be the exact day he'd find just what he was looking for.

Harry was on his way to meet Luna for some shopping after a long day at the Ministry. Now that Voldemort had gone, there were less sinister things to worry about, but still a lot to do. And copious amounts of paper-work. When he had applied for the job, he had thought he would have more practical magic to do, more hunting down dark wizards, rather than sitting at a desk all day, writing reports. But Harry still enjoyed being an Auror - he was making sure that dark wizards were caught, and got what they deserved. And being an Auror meant that you got a special sort of 'respect' almost from those you worked around.
He and Luna had agreed to meet in Flourish and Blott's, the wizarding book shop, so that was where Harry was headed. Disapparating from the Ministry, he arrived in Diagon Alley, just outside the book shop, and walked inside, wondering if Luna was there already.

Luna wandered into Flourish and Blotts, you could find some of the most interesting literature here, you really could. She’d had quite a boring day, without Harry or the kids at home she got pretty lonely, and that was why she’d come into Diagon Alley earlier that day, to have an ice cream with her old friends. However the friend she had been meeting had had to go and so now she was alone.
Luna knew exactly where all the best books were kept in the shop, most people regarded them as rubbish or unimportant, but Luna knew the truth. Her mind was so focused on this, well as focused as her cloud filled mind ever was, that Luna accidentally bumped into a man looking through a pile of books.
“Whoops,” she said, good naturedly smiling at the man, “You’d have thought I’d see you there…” she commented. Then she spotted Harry just entering the shop and grinned widely to him whilst waving, “Harry! Over here!” so what if she was embarrassing, Luna didn’t care.

Ethan jumped, and gave Luna smiled that said "it's okay," and went back to looking through the pill of books until he heard the name 'Harry' mentioned. He looked around to see who the woman was calling to.

Harry looked up sharply and felt his cheeks turn pink as Luna called his name to the rest of the shop, waving and grinning - but he gave her a small smile in return and headed over, looking at the floor to avoid people's eyes and wishing that his hair was still long enough to cover his scar with.
"Hey, Luna," he said by way of greeting, removing his eyes from the floor and bringing them up to his wife's face. Behind her, he saw a man looking in his direction, and gave him a small, friendly smile before looking back at Luna. "How long have you been here?" he asked, hoping he hadn't kept her waiting too long.

Ethan's eyes looked like they were going to pop out of his head when he saw that it was the famous Harry Potter.

"Not long," Luna replied to Harry, smiling serenly. "I found out the most amazing fact today," she said proudly, "Did you know where a West Arabian Cockerelia" - Luna expected Harry to know what a 'cockerelia' was - "is under attack by a predator it will rip off its testicles and throw them at it? Amazing, don't you think?"

"Not long,"
"Oh, good," he replied, feeling a little relieved. This meant that as well as not having had to wait long for him, Luna hadn't had enough time to embarrass herself yet. He loved her dearly, but she really did say the strangest things... Her words punctuated his thoughts, proving him right.
Harry didn't know or care what a 'cockerelia' was - he was more bothered about its defence mechanism. All he could do was blink in response to her comment, wishing that she would speak a little quieter when revealing such facts, and say weakly, "Oh... does-does it...?"
His eyes darted nervously over to the wizard who had been searching through the pile of books when he had arrived, then back to Luna.

"Mmhmm," Luna confirmed what she just said, "Of course it's not a total loss cause they can grow another pair."
She looked around at the man she'd knocked over and said, "Oh I didn't quite finish apologising... sorry," she said smiling good naturedly, she offered him a hand to get up, "All the good books are over there," she said pointing to a dark, run down side of the bookshop, "I'm Luna by the way, and this is Harry."

"Hello. I'm Ethan. I was looking for something good to teach my History of Magic class, do you have any recommendations?" he asked, and gave off that he was a professor at Hogwarts.

Harry offered his hand to Ethan, giving a small smile. "Harry Potter, nice to meet you."
History of Magic? That obviously meant that Ethan was part of the teaching staff at Hogwarts. "Oh, erm... hmm... you could teach them about the Chamber of Secrets?" he suggested with a lopsided smile, "it'll stop them badgering you when a ruddy great snake is slithering about the place petrifying people."

Ethan shook Harry's hand with a smirk. He nodded,"Actually, that would be a good idea."

Harry blinked, a little surprised that the history teacher liked his idea. "Really?" It had half been a joke, but he realised that he should stop making these half jokes. "Or... I dunno, you could teach about the philosopher's stone - Nicholas Flamel..." Harry shrugged; now he was just thinking up things from his past that it would have been helpful to know about beforehand.

“It'll stop them badgering you when a ruddy great snake is slithering about the place petrifying people."
Luna shook her head, “It was a Basilisk, Harry I thought you would’ve known that by now,” she said disapprovingly, before turning her attention to the books either side of them. “Ooh, the history of Grundle Weed the Great,” she flicked through to the first couple of pages, “And it’s a first edition…”

Ethan smiled,"Thank you for your opinions. I'll see what I can do. I have to make sure it's okay with Headmistress White."
