Salvador smirked. "I will have to meet young Macaria properly, of course - we have passed each other in the corridors, but never spoken. If He speaks highly of her then I'm sure my doubts are soon to fade."

"Mm..." he replied pensively. "I suppose we could never hope to fathom the mind of someone so great and powerful as the Dark Lord himself."

He looked at her, thinking for a few moments until he spoke again. "...I, for one, fear Him - as do many others - but you, Contessa... you do not seem to share that fear..."

"Being the one who talks to him most, you learn not to fear him. Sure, you fear for your life, but you do not fear Him. He knows we will bring our name back to it's proper status in society, he knows he'll never have to worry about us. You, luv, I wish would not fear him. He's not going to do anything. He wouldn't harm his own blood, especially those that are true followers of his."

Salvador was deeply afraid of Lord Voldemort. He would not, could not say his name, and was afraid that he might do something wrong that could offend him or inspire his anger; and he was terrified of the prospect that he might have to speak with the Dark Lord for these very reasons - though he would not tell that to anyone, even Contessa. But this fear enhanced Salvador's respect for the dark wizard - one who could be so feared earned it, and it would be unwise not to.
"So I hope," he replied quietly. "I am only anxious I might do something to upset him."

"All the same..." he mumbled, trailing off. He couldn't help thinking about such things. He was a perfectionist, and worried about the slightest mistake. Sometimes he wondered if he were an obsessive compulsive. Everything had to go perfectly... or it was the end of the world, though not literally.

She sighed, actually becoming extremely bored of the subject of her second cousin, Lord Voldemort. It seemed like she was always talking about him with his children, or with her cousins, and even with Tom himself when she summoned a veil portal to talk to him.

At her sigh, Salvador looked down at Contessa. "Are you alright?"

"Peachy..." she said, looking up at she. She suddenly felt shamed for not telling him the truth, but it was part of being her. She never told the whole truth, which she sure he was hiding somethings to. So that made up for everything. At least that's what she thought.

Something was telling him that Contessa didn't want to continue with the conversation about the Dark Lord. In a way, he was glad of this - because he was dreading the occasion when he may actually have to meet him - but he was curious about the subject, and wanted to know more.
"What lesson do we have next?" he asked, for a change of subject, hoping it wasn't Charms. Although an extremely useful subject, Salvador found it rather boring.
