She nodded. "As I would like to preserve those languages which I know. Perhaps we are not the only ones." She considered this, then grinned. "Shall we then begin a club with this aim? Who knows what may come upon us in these times. It is better to have everything ready early than to arrive late at one's goal."

She grinned. "Then I am glad to have you as a friend." She held out her hand, feeling shy for almost a second. So much for her to learn, and for Delilah to learn as well. Were they up to the task? She then mentally shrugged. They would attempt it anyway, and be happy with that.

Delilah took the girls hand to shake it, thinking that was what Mariah was wanting to happen. "As I do you." she said, then thought that her statement came out either wrong or it didn't make sense.

A grin lit Mariah's face. "Then let's go find him! Shall we?" She held out her arm in a mock of a courtly gesture, impatient to be on her way and start this new self-imposed mission, grateful for something new in her life once more.

Once there, she let Delilah enter first, not exactly sure where they were headed. Her quiet nature took over, and she all but faded into the background, the noise of it sometimes rising to the point of pain.
