Luna had been working all afternoon to making the cake she was about to take out of the oven. She’d wanted her and her husband to be able to have a nice, sit down meal for once; she also had something she wanted to discuss with Harry. As the cooker’s timer went off she pulled on the oven gloves, opened the cooker’s door and took the cake out, only to slip over and drop it on the floor. “Ooh fiddlesticks!” she cursed, annoyed. What was she supposed to do now? Irritated she pulled out her wand, performed a quick ‘scourgify’ spell and then untied her apron. She then threw the apron; it was blue with pictures of owls on it, onto the countertop, and went into the lounge. Slumping onto the sofa she pulled an episode of ‘The Quibbler’ in front of her face. Cooking was obviously not her forte, she decided.

Harry had apparated to the end of the road, then walked the rest of the way, to arrive at home in reasonably good spirits. He didn't like to apparate absolutely everywhere - otherwise, he could end up getting very unfit and overweight from not enough exercise, plus the fact that he didn't entirely like apparating all that much either.
"Luna...?" he called as he opened the door and entered into the hallway, wondering if his wife was home. Moving into the lounge, he found her, her favourite magazine obscuring her face. He placed his fingers on the top and pushed it down gently, looking down at her. "Evening, sweetheart," he greeted her with a smile.

Luna looked up at Harry from where she was sitting, “Hello,” she smiled, “Nice day?” she twirled some of her hair around her finger whilst thinking, “I tried to bake a cake… I wanted to make a nice dinner, but it didn’t work too well,” Luna didn’t seem too upset about this, and just smiled juvenilely “I wanted us to have a sit down and – because…” she trailed off, slightly embarrassed and took Harry’s hand and made him sit down next to her. Curling her legs up on the sofa she chucked her magazine onto the coffee table, “Harry, I want another baby,” she said simply, her eyes scanning his for any sign of a reaction.

“Nice day?”
Harry shrugged with a smile. "I suppose it wasn't too bad." As she explained that the cake hadn't entirely succeeded, he gave her a bracing smile that said "Oh well." She was so sweet - and anyway, in Harry's opinion it was the thought that counted; but he would have appreciated the cake all the same.
“I wanted us to have a sit down and – because…”
Intrigued, he let her sit him down next to her, waiting expectantly for her to continue. But what followed, he would never have predicted. His emerald-green eyes widened slightly behind their glasses, and after a few seconds he gave a small, shocked laugh. "Oh... er... okay..." he faltered, looking down at their hands clasped together. "What, you... Are you sure about this?" he asked, his eyes darting back up to hers again. He liked the idea, it was just... he didn't know off the top of his head if they could afford another child. He loved Hannah, Andrea and Lance dearly, and another kid would be amazing, but they were expensive.

Luna grinned happily, “Yes, yes, yes!” she could have clapped her hands at the thought, and at least Harry, although looking shocked, wasn’t saying no, but instead of clapping she hiccupped slightly. “Oh Harry, please say yes, it would be so good!” she said, not really asking his permission as her tone of voice was saying it would happen with or without his permission, “… But do you think we should ask the kids before we… you know… try,” she said, giggling slightly.

At her reaction to his faltering answer, Harry gave another laugh - and, on a whim, he grinned too and said, "Yeah... Yes." He would do overtime at the Ministry... take on another job... whatever it took to raise another child. Leaning over to Luna, he gave her a hurried kiss on the lips before pulling back again. "I love you."
“… But do you think we should ask the kids before we… you know… try,”
"Oh... yeah," he replied, nodding and returning to 'serious Harry'. "We should ask them how they'd feel about having another brother or sister at least."

Luna nodded and giggled slightly when Harry kissed her, she may have been thirty-five but she was still a teenager at heart. Then she lent forward, but not to kiss him, but to, instead, nestle comfortably into his shoulder. “They’ll be alright with it, won’t they?” she said.

Harry put his arm around her, leaning his head on top of hers, and smiled slightly. "Oh... they should be, I reckon," he said, thinking about his three children and what their reactions might be.

"Mmhmm," Luna replied closing her eyes and shifting around a bit so she could lie with her feet on the arm rest of the sofa and her head in Harry's lap, "So, how's work?"

Harry heaved a huge sigh. "It's... busy..." He looked down at Luna and gave a small smile, stroking some hair away from her face gently. "It might just be me, but I think the number of muggle baiting incidents has gone up, as well as the total count of muggles who've seen witches or wizards performing magic... and that is pointing to one thing in my mind - I think the Death Eaters are massing again. I think something's up... no, I know something's up," he continued. To anyone but himself, doubtlessly he was sounding paranoid - soon people would be comparing him to Alastor 'Mad Eye' Moody. "At Hogwarts... I was standing at Dumbledore's... his tomb, then I started talking to White, but this girl turned up. I think she was a first-year. There was something about her..." He gave a frown. "Something isn't right."

Luna hadn't really expected that kind of answer, maybe something boring about the Ministry, in fact she'd only asked because she liked hearing him talk, but on his answer she opened her eyes and looked up at him slightly worried. Knowing that if Voldemort rose again he'd be after Harry, any way of getting to Harry. Not only her husband but her children would be in danger and she hated that thought. "What do you mean... about the first year?"

"There was something... She... Her eyes... I dunno... She kept holding eye-contact with me, and something... I didn't like her. She was just... creepy," he finished lamely. He didn't know how to explain about Macaria, because she hadn't done anything wrong. All he got was a feeling. Other people, when they met her, would probably see a sweet little girl who was the friendliest thing on the planet... But he, Harry, got a distinct feeling of evil.
