It was another one of those boring days that all the students of Hogwarts were having. And for Hufflepuff, Topher Moragan, it was a torturing bore. He needed something to keep his mind occupied. He ran hand through his black shaggy hair, and smoothed out the clothes that he had on. The 7th year had on a pair of light demin jeans, a pair of brown flip flops on his feet, and an orange t-shirt covered his her upper body.

Mariah walked in with a look that said "Disturb me and I'll whack your face off." She carried a thick book, one which shook the Ravenclaw table, though she set it down gently. Her black knee-length dress had short sleeves and only a small opening in the back through which to breathe, yet she seemed comfortable in the somewhat-roomy outfit. Carefully she sat down, immediately opening the book and turning to her marked page, though half her attention was watching the interesting boy nearby who seemed somewhat bored.

Topher paid no mind to the girl, sure she had caught his attention, but he just didn't want to talk. Not at the moment anyways, he was now to deep in thought about what he could do. He sighed, and looked as a few students passed by him. He waved, hinting that he new the people.
((you know it's not the great hall right? jw..))

(Well, at least she passed him! Lol)
Seconds later, though, sounds erupted from the Hall and she came forward, scowling behind her with a look of intense dislike. "Some people in this world." She bumped shoulders with Topher, but merely muttered an apology before walking off, her anger so visible that one could almost see flames in her eyes. Soon, though, she was near the Forest, still scowling and muttering about stupid idiots in a crazy world.

Topher looked at her as if he was about yell at her, but let her go. He looked to the floor and noticed the bookmark she'd been using, and picked it up. He ran after her. "Miss! Miss your forgot your bookmark!" he called after her.

She turned, knowing that anyone else would wonder how she could hear him from so far away. Sighing, she waited until he was close, shifting the book so she could grip the bookmark firmly. When he was close, she put out a hand. "Thank you," she said quietly. "It would be the third I've lost this week if you hadn't picked it up."

"You're welcome."he replied, and looked at her in the eyes. She was pretty, and he gave a smile and nod. "Good day!" he said, turning to leave.

She sighed, then noticed ink spots on his arm. "Do you write a lot? Besides homework, I mean." She didn't want to intrude, but she was getting a little lonely sometimes.

She grinned. "An artist? Of what sort? Music, drawing, painting....?" She seemed genuinely interested, and hoped he was as well.

"A well-rounded artist. That's new. What are your main topics of interest?" She sat on the ground, indicating that he could join her. "And please, if I'm keeping you from something you need to do, don't feel like you have to talk to me. I'm just interested in artists, that's all."

He nodded, and took a seat down next to her. He had nothing better to do. "Mainly nature. Or people that I see."

She grinned. "Are you any good at drawing the animals of nature?" In her mind, an idea began to form, but she first needed to be sure that she could trust him with such secrets as this might give him access to.

"I could draw one for you, and you determine whether or not I'm any good?" he said. A grin playing at the ends of his lips.
