It was a typical overcast day in London. The sky above was it's usual slate gray and it seemed as if it would start to rain at any moment. Oliver wood had decided to go for a walk in the park. He had asked his daughter Mai to meet him here. After all, it wasn't often that the two got to spend time together. Mai was always busy at Hogwarts and Oliver was busy with quidditch which was his life.
Even though he had long since graduated from Hogwarts Oliver Wood was still as obsessed as ever with quidditch. He had even gone on to become a professional quidditch player. He's the keeper for the Glasgow Gryphons of Scotland.
But today was one of those rare occasions when both he and Mai had time off so they decided to spend it together. The plan was to meet here in the park then go and have lunch somewhere. But often times something came up to disrupt those plans. Oliver sighed and sat down on a nearby bench hoping that his daughter would arrive soon.

Mai walked slowly through the park, trying to see if she could find her father. She sighed, and hoped nothing would come up so that their time together would be ended. She tied her blonde locks back into a ponytail as she neared closer to where Oliver sat. When she finally recognized him, Mair smiled to herself. "Hey daddy!" she said, she was such a daddy's girl.

Oliver smiled when he saw his daughter approach. He was always happy to see her. "Hey, Daddy!" Mai said. "Hello, princess," Oliver replied as he stood up to hug her. "It's so good to see you. How have you been?"

Mai hugged her father in return, and took a seat next to him on the bench. "So-so. I'm ready for Quidditch to start." She smiled, and looked around at some of the others that were in the park.

Oliver smiled at his daughter. He was very proud of her and it seemed that she was following in her father's footsteps. Mai had become quite the quidditch player. "I'd love to come to one of your matches if I have the time," he said, "It would be great to see how much like your da' you really are." His Scottish brogue was still as strong as ever. "So, are you as hungry as I am?"

Mai smiled at his little compliment. "Wheneva I 'ave matches, I'll make sure I OWL ye." When he asked her if she was as hungry as he she laughed lightly for no reason, just to laugh really. "I'm starved."

Oliver smiled when Mai laughed. He liked to see her happy. "So, what do you say we grab a bite to eat?" he asked.

"Great!" Oliver replied, "I know a great little place where we can grab some food. It's not far from here at all." He got up and offered his daughter a hand, "Shall we?"

She grinned, and took his hand to get up. "Cool." she replied. Her grin turned into a vibrate smile, and for a few seconds, to the passing eye you could see Oliver starring back at Oliver. Mai had always favored more of her father in her than her mother. It was kind of odd since you would think that the son would favor more of the father, not the daughter.
