((it's fine))
Cal thought he was awake, but in reality he'd dosed off. He looked at the cheetah, and looked around the room. "Yes... I think I am." he replied, his voice a little wavery.

Meera snorted to herself and flicked her tail again, sitting directly in front of him. Do you see anyone else paying attention to me? She didn't wait for an answer, having her own in mind. No, you don't. I was sent to the one she wished to contact. She wished to contact you, so here I am.
Now tell me: Why aren't you at the River? Have you given up so quickly?

Well.... I don't know. Yesterday...... he trailed off.

That is not much of an excuse, she said disapprovingly. Go to her, mortal. Speak with her. She does not know yet that I have come. Be patient with her. All things take time. This, too, shall pass.
At last, with a soft swish of wind, Meera disappeared into the deep fog, and the tantalizing scent faded. Far away, Riyan woke with a grimace. "Now I know why I brought a cot here," she grumbled, going back inside to the cot and sitting on the edge of it.

Cal awoke, and he looked around. It was a dream.. he thought, but felt eager to go to the river bank. And with that, he went there after dressing in a pair of denim jeans and a white t-shirt which showed off his muscles. Brown flip flops held on to his feet.

Riyan was singing softly, kneeling beside the River and using her herbal soap to wash her clothes out. The song twined around any listening, almost like a lullaby. After a bit she waded into the water, she skirt she wore over her pants rising around her waist like a lilly-pad. She could have been mistaken for a nymph, if it wasn't for the distinct human outline of her features.

Cal neared the water, and stopped when he saw Riyan. "Riyan...?"

She froze when she heard his voice. Closing her eyes, she gathered up her reserves of strength before she was able to look at him. "At least we know you have a memory," she remarked, almost carelessly. "What do you want?"
Within herself, she was steeling her mind against what was to come. He was most likely here to curse her, taunt her for being different, or yell at her. She continued to wash her clothes, her mind on him while her eyes remained on the river.

"Umm... bloody hell, what did the cheetah say her name was..?" he started, and asked himself. "Meera...? At least I think that's the name I remember, told me you'd be here. She wanted me to come, almost as much as I was longing to come. To see you..."

Riyan swore under her breath. The words "Knew I couldn't trust that kit" could be distinctly heard.
"Why did you bother? Did you not hear what I told you?

"Actually, it's very vivid in my mind, but.. I once told you that I felt a connection to you, and that still stands. And I don't care if you're a Riddle or not. A Slytheirn or not. It doesn't matter, your family and the house you are apart of have been stereotyped, and I see that. That's why I came, well part of the reason. You are different, and that's why I like you. So I guess I'm saying I came back because of our connection. Because I wish to spend more time with you, be your friend at the least."

She looked up at him with eyes that seemed to bore into his. Finally she relaxed and sighed. "It's not like there's much I can do to stop you, I suppose."
She was about to speak further, but her stomach grumbled, and both the cheetah in her and Meera were almost begging for real meat. She looked up at him. "I don't suppose you feel like going hunting, now do you?"

Cal looked a bit puzzled, but then remembered both of them were part feline, and it was obvious that she was hungry or was perparing for a meal. "I'd love to go hunting." he answered her.

She nodded slightly, coming out of the River and taking the clean clothes to a line spread between trees in order for them to dry. That done, she transformed into a cheetah and looked at him, waiting. She wasn't sure if he would understand anything she said if he was human and she feline, so she would wait and tell him their choices after he transformed.

After she'd transformed, he did so. His panther self taking a pouncing at the water for a few seconds. Around his neck now was a silver chain with a dagger pendant that had a single blood red granet in the middle of the handle of the dagger. His yellow cat eyes flickered over to Riyan. "Ready to go?"
